Our baby girl was grasping at our utensils and eyeing everything that we were eating so we knew it was time for her first foods! Although we make most of her food, we are loving the convenience, wholesome goodness and variety of these first foods for baby. Baby Mum Mum: If you are looking for baby’s first snack food, we like Baby Mum Mum biscuits and rusks. These all-natural snacks are perfect first snack and introduce baby to different textures and the independence of holding their own food. Baby Mum Mum Rice Rusks also make healthy teethers too! Earth’s Best: The convenience of pouches never disappoints. I love that I can serve our daughter organic foods on the go. The portions are just right, the flavors are preserved (I tried ‘em!) and the variety of choices can’t be beat. Earth’s Best Organics offers a variety of first food options from first feeding crackers, to single serve resealable pouches to organic whole grain cereals and even full meals. Ella’s Organics: We are loving the easy pour giant “pouch” of whole grains goodness. The cereal stays fresher longer and is a no mess way to prepare a yummy breakfast for our eager eater. Ella’s Kitchen has a wide-range of fruit, veggie, and whole meal resealable pouches that are great for on the go feedings as well as teething babes (just stick them in the freezer!).
Nurtur Me: I love these dried organic food options. I keep the NurturMe single serving packets in my diaper bag at all times. I can easily whip up a meal for my baby by just adding water (breast milk and formula work well too!). The dried food makes it easy to mix foods and boost any meal with nutrious, flavorful fruits and veggies. The quinoa is our favorite. (Got a picky toddler? You can mix Nurturme goodness into any dish for an added punch of vitamins and minerals.)
Sage Spoonfuls: Making your own organic baby food has never been easier. The system from Sage Spoonfuls guides you every step of way~from the necessary tools to the well-written and easy to follow cookbook (chock full of delicious recipes and sage advice from author Liza Huber aka mama of 4!) Sage Spoonfuls makes healthy homemade, prepared baby food accessible, affordable and manageable for even for the busiest of moms.
